The town of Mount Pleasant came together to celebrate Gullah Geechee culture and tradition at the 18th annual Sweetgrass Festival. Families and festivalgoers admired sweetgrass baskets small and large, jewelry, art, clothing, song, dance and plenty of sunshine made for a perfect Saturday at Memorial Waterfront Park in Mount Pleasant on July 23.
