Acer Gadget, Starbit set up NFT platform


Acer’s subsidiary Acer Gadget and Startbit have jointly recognized Jcard 2., a NFT (non-fungible token) platform for listing and transaction of style, enjoyment products/products and services and arts, according to Acer Gadget president Allen Jong.

For Jcard 2., Acer Gadget and Startbit have enlisted trend and leisure brokerage company service provider Catwalk Production House, Taiwan Academy of High-quality Arts and Tokyo Chuo MuChunTang Auction.

The system is meant to boost application of metaverse, which will need to have cross-area sources, internationalization and globalization, cooperation amid authorities companies, industries and academic businesses, Jong pointed out.

Currently being a startup established in 2017, Startbit specializes in acquiring application plans for enterprises’ blockchain purposes. The enterprise launched Startbit Ex, the initial decentralized trade in Asia, in 2018 and has made STO (protection token supplying) and NFT platforms. Startbit was invested by Taiwan’s Nationwide Development Basis in July 2019 and by Acer in February 2022.

Metaverse is composed of quite a few components, like AR/VR/XR, wearable equipment, little-dimension vendors of solutions, online games and IP, Startbit CEO Sway Teng observed.

The business enterprise product for Jcard 2. is characterised by listing rates for skilled IP and 5% of transaction revenues as brokerage cost, Teng pointed out. Listing prices range, dependent on IP situations, Teng indicated.

Besides the Taiwan sector, Jcard 2. will be promoted in Southeast Asia, China, Japan and South Korea, Teng explained.
