‘Artish’ art show celebrates Black culture & history


SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) – Juneteenth celebrations proceed in the ArkLaTex, with an artwork demonstrate held on Saturday, June 18.

“Artish” is a Black artwork show that celebrates Black culture, artwork and heritage. The event’s organizer Drayden Dunn reported above 70 Black artists will be at the function and will assortment from performing artists to visible artists.

“We want to make confident people today come to feel relaxed when they occur. We want Black artists to truly feel welcome, that’s why we’re highlighting. It’s from the absence of representation. That is why we’re performing this nowadays,” explained Dunn.

Together with the artwork, there was also food stuff, leisure and a lasting community art installation.
