Submissions for the next round of The Arts & Cultural Alliance of Newport County’s (ACA) Artist Awards, in aid of Newport County artists and art tasks that benefit our communities, are owing in advance of midnight on Monday, March 15, 2021. Awardees notifications will be designed on or right before April 30, 2021.
Now in its 2nd calendar year, ACA’s Artist Awards supply up to $500 monetary help for artists’ projects that instantly teach, encourage, and uplift the inhabitants of Newport County.
Artists of all backgrounds, identities, and creative disciplines—including visual arts (illustration, graphic layout, multimedia), carrying out arts (dance, audio, theatre), literary arts (artistic writing, poetry), and any other standard or emerging field—residing in and/or presenting inventive packages to any of the 6 Newport County communities (Jamestown, Very little Compton, Middletown, Newport, Portsmouth, Tiverton) are strongly inspired to utilize. Artists proposing an personal job or doing the job collaboratively are regarded as eligible.

Inaugural ACA Artist Awards’ recipients ended up the Newport String Task and Newport Children’s Theatre. Each businesses were celebrated and performed at ACA’s June 5 “Raise Up the Arts!” fundraising function. ACA’s 2021 awardees will be in the same way acknowledged at the next “Raise Up the Arts!” celebration.
