Northern Beaches’ imaginative community showcased through Arts in August

The Northern Beach locations Council will be showcasing the creative imagination of its area as a result of the presentation of Arts in August, working from 6th to 22nd August 2021. Comprised of the inaugural Environmental Art and Structure Prize offered across a few arts venues, and two Inventive Open up weekends, Arts in August will attribute open up studios, a varied variety of cultural functions, artist-led excursions and stay performances.

As part of the Festival, the two Artistic Open weekends offered on 14th – 15th August and 21st – 22nd August will see neighborhood designers, makers, musicians and innovative corporations open their doorways to guests to expertise the abundance of creativity of the Northern Beach locations communities. The all-new Environmental Art & Structure Prize will be introduced throughout 3 venues of Manly Art Gallery and Museum, Inventive Space North Curl Curl and Mona Vale Imaginative Pop Up Gallery, from 6th – 22nd August. The exhibition will feature finalist works by artists and designers who have a eager fascination and concentrate on the pure environment, environmental renewal, regeneration and the circular economy in their operate.

In its inaugural 12 months, the Prize celebrates modern day arts methods that are socially engaged, environmentally informed and seek to enrich and contribute to beneficial change as a result of creative practice.
