About the curators:
Becci Davis was born on a military services installation in Georgia named right after Normal Henry L. Benning of the Accomplice States Army. Her beginning initiated her family’s initial era just after the Civil Rights Act and its fifth generation post-Emancipation. Now living in Rhode Island, Becci is an interdisciplinary artist who finds inspiration in memory, heritage, checking out organic and cultural landscapes, and her experiences as a daughter, mother, American, and Southern born and elevated, Black girl.
Following earning her MFA from Lesley University School of Art and Structure in 2017, Becci was the receiver of the St. Botolph Club Foundation Emerging Artist Award in Visual Artwork, the Rhode Island Point out Council on the Arts Fellowship in New Genres, the Providence Community Library Creative Fellowship, and the RISD Museum Artist Fellowship. She was also highlighted as a single of Artwork New England magazine’s 10 Rising Artists of 2019.
Benjamin Lundberg Torres Sánchez (b. 1987, Bogotá) works by using their artwork & facilitation to transform specific witness into collective action.
