That’s right, their flight from the UK to overseas has been made into a movie. Photos were taken earlier this year in Canada of the two lookalikes on the set, as the Lifetime channel prepares to tell the story of Harry and Meghan.

Megan’s words

Sydney Morton, who plays Meghan in the upcoming film, can be heard during the clip saying the words that she had previously said to Oprah in the interview, talking about when she attended the Royal Albert Hall on duties: “If I’m left alone, I don’t know what I might do.”

“We have to protect our family,” is also heard uttered by the actress, confirming that there will indeed be some drama in this new movie. The drama will most likely be focusing on the comments surrounding Archie’s skin colour. There is also a moment of her sobbing in her husband’s arms on a lavish staircase.

According to TVLine, the official synopsis reads that the film will present a fictional account of “the couple’s controversial conscious uncoupling from the crown, after the birth of their son Archie.”

“The movie details the struggles of the new parents and unique challenges of being part of the royal family, which ultimately led Harry and Meghan to give up their royal ties to forge a new life on their own terms,” TVLine adds.

According to The Sun, the movie will also “detail Meghan’s growing isolation and sadness, their disappointment that ‘The Firm’ was not defending them against the press’s attacks and Harry’s fear that history would repeat itself and he would not be able to protect his wife and son from the same forces that caused his mother’s untimely death.”

There seems to be no doubt that the famous Oprah Winfrey bombshell interview will be centre and focus of the film, driving the series of events that caused them to escape to the other side of the pond.

Recollections may vary

Although they categorically stated that the Queen was not to be blamed, they still made many strong and criticising statements against the Royal family in general: which is, of course, the Queen’s institution. Her Majesty’s response to the interview was calm and political, maintaining the dignity of the Firm.

The family under fire

Although no names were mentioned, it was clear that the people particularly under fire were Harry’s brother, William; sister-in law, Kate; and his father, Charles. Harry did disclose that there was such a deep rift between him and Charles, that he said his father at one point “stopped taking my calls.”

The Duchesses

We will also expect to see an interesting character development and backstory between the two Duchesses – Meghan, Duchess of Sussex and Kate, Duchess of Cambridge. Meghan put Kate in the firing line in the interview when she disclosed that her sister-in-law ‘made her cry’ – which was stark contrast to the news at the time of the incident, which reported it was, in fact, the other way around.

Who made these remarks?

Meghan said in the Oprah interview that “in the months when I was pregnant… we have in tandem the conversation of he won’t be given security, he’s not going to be given a title, and also concerns and conversations about how dark his skin might be when he’s born.” The film might finally give away who made these comments.

Jordan Dean plays Harry Windsor

Jordan Dean is a Broadway star and composer. He was in the original cast of ‘American Psycho’ as Luis Carruthers in 2016 and played a number of roles on the stage. In TV, he has made some appearances in ‘Law and Order’, ‘Z: The Beginning of Everything’, and ‘High Maintenance’. This will certainly push him into the spotlight.
