   Still armchair traveling only and anxiously awaiting spring, we decided to visit the yard paintings of Joaquin Sorolla (1863-1923), in the hopes of a single working day visiting in particular person his household, studio and yard in Madrid.

   Sorolla’s dwelling is now the Museo Sorolla. Following the artist’s loss of life at age 60 in 1923 and that of his wife, Clotilde in 1929, the home was bequeathed to the State and opened as a museum in 1932. It is overseen by the Spanish Ministry of Lifestyle.
  

   The dwelling surrounds an open-air patio, letting light to enter during. It has an Andalusian back garden, which normally takes inspiration from the gardens of the Alcazar of Seville (exactly where Sorolla painted normally). Sorolla also returned to his dwelling town of Valencia just about every summer season, portray the rigorous mild and ocean horizons of the coast.
