Titan Travel has resumed its UK tours and packages, 450 days after its last departure took place in March 2020.
The brand has revealed that its first UK tour set off on June 6, for an itinerary in the Lake District.
Since then, it’s already welcomed back about 300 holidaymakers – and bookings are going from strength to strength. In fact, the company says that it’s already seeing bookings for 2022 departure selling out “earlier than ever before”.
Andy Squirrell, the firm’s Managing Director, said: “We’re incredibly excited to be able to take customers away again on a Titan holiday to destinations all over the UK. Our first UK tours have all departed successfully and we’re pleased to be receiving such lovely feedback from our customers who have already returned home.
“There’s great energy and excitement across the business and we can’t wait to welcome more and more customers on a Titan holiday soon.”

Currently, the brand is looking to offer over 60 short breaks in the UK through to October, with destinations including Devon, York, the Isle of Wight and Durham. You can check out what’s on offer at titantravel.co.uk.
With ongoing uncertainty around travel abroad, it’s not surprising to see that millions of Brits are opting to have a staycation instead. Hotels, campsites and other tourist accommodation have all seen surges in bookings, not to mention there’s been a significant rise in pet-friendly holidays.

As for holidays abroad? Currently the UK has a traffic lights system which determines if you need to self-isolate or quarantine when you return to the UK. The green list is the quarantine-free offering, although only a handful of countries have made the cut – and only three are actually open to Brits for holidays.
However, Matt Hancock recently said that the government is “working on” plans for quarantine-free travel to amber list countries for Brits who are fully vaccinated against Covid. There are already plenty of amber list countries welcoming vaccinated Brits so it could pave the way for those who have been double jabbed to enjoy getaways.
Meanwhile, Brits have already started to look to 2022 and beyond for post-Covid adventures. Skyscanner has seen a steady rise in searches for 2022 to destinations such as the USA, while cruise lines are noting a surge in bookings for once-in-a-lifetime sailings.
